About Us
Pam Woertendyke AIFD, CFD, Owner,
Consultant & Floral Design Specialist
In 1988 Pam Woertendyke opened A Secret Garden Florist at Shaw &
Armstrong offering the local residents new and exciting ideas in floral design..
Just a few short years later she was able to move her shop to Herndon &
Clovis Ave. Almost doubling the size of her shop she was able to incorporate
fine gifts & candles and start a website,
www.asecretgardenflorist.com, to
better serve the growing needs of her customers. After 11 years at the
Herndon location, Pam, being a forward thinking business woman, grabbed
the opportunity of a lifetime to relocate her business to 1542 Clovis Ave.
This new location now provides three times more space including an outdoor
garden to host parties and weddings. Now A Secret Garden is an upscale
flower & gift boutique unlike Clovis & Fresno has ever seen.

Pam has been trained by world renowned floral designers and stays active in
the floral industry by teaching workshops and seminars and showcasing her
floral design talent at local museums and charitable events. In 2002 Pam
became a member of the prestigious American Institute of Floral Designers.

Pam also stays active in the floral industry by helping promote AIFD by
supporting her local regional chapter. She is also hired by Fiesta Parade
Floats as part of a floral design team for the Tournament of Roses Parade.
Fiest is the most award winning float builder of the history of the parade, and
Pam is proud to be part of that.

Pam's keen business sense and love for what she does has been the core to
A Secret Garden's tremendous success.
Kimberly Woertendyke-Alvarez AIFD, CFD
Floral Design Specialist
Kimberly joined her family's business in 1994 as a delivery driver. Two
short years later, she gave up delivering for the art of floral design. In
2002 Kim was inducted into the American Institute of Floral Designers.
Kimberly has contributed her design skills to local museums, local
charitable events and the Tournament of Roses Parade. During a recent
move of the family's business, Kim has been an important part of the
shop's growth. From expanding the company's websites, advertising
and marketing the shop as a premier wedding and special events
destination, to being a guest spokesperson and designer for local
newspapers, magazines and morning television programs. With these
successful efforts of marketing along with premium floral designs, the
family business has become the florist of choice for the celebrity and
rock star clientele for Fresno's special events arena. Kimberly is
currently a proud member and Immediate Past President of the South
West Regional Chapter of AIFD.
The American Institute of Floral Designers is a non-profit organization dedicated to recognizing and promoting the
art of floral design as a professional.

AIFD members have proven their talent as floral artists through a rigorous Accreditation process. They are
distinguished as being Accredited in Floral Design and proudly add AIFD to their name. What's more, they must
adhere to strict continuing education requirements in order to maintain the coveted Accreditation status.

Accredited members of AIFD are in the forefront of the floral industry worldwide. They present programs and
participate in floral presentations for such well-known events as the Tournament of Roses Parade, the Academy
Awards, Presidential Inaugurations and more.
